## Overview

- **Who it's for**: Employees at companies using Google Workspace who needed an internal feed for company-wide announcements and team discussions after Google+ shut down.
- **What you get**: Currents gave employees a company-only stream for posting updates, images, and links, organized into categories/communities that people could follow. It supported comments and threaded replies, let admins publish official organization-wide announcements, and gave admins engagement analytics on posts and categories.
- **How it works**: Users posted to and browsed a Home/Discover feed within their organization's Workspace domain, following categories or colleagues to shape what appeared; admins moderated content and posted announcements until Google shut the product down in 2023 and folded its features into Google Chat/Spaces.
