## Overview

- **Who it's for**: Journalists, newsrooms, and social media managers who needed to curate social posts around breaking news, events, or campaigns.
- **What you get**: A drag-and-drop story editor that let users search and pull in posts from Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and other sources, embedding them with their original formatting intact. Users could interweave their own text commentary between embedded posts to build a narrative. Finished stories were published as a shareable webpage or embeddable widget for other sites. Storify was shut down in 2018.
- **How it works**: Users searched social networks and the web from within the editor, dragged relevant posts onto a timeline in the desired order, added text to frame or connect them, then published the result as a standalone page or embed.
