Who it's for

Individuals and small businesses who wanted a Dropbox-like cloud storage and file-sync service, backed by security vendor Barracuda Networks, to back up and access files across multiple devices.

What you get

Copy provided cross-platform file sync and backup for Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android, with a free storage tier that could be expanded through an uncapped referral program. Its Fair Share feature let files placed in shared folders count against the storage quota of the folder's owner rather than every collaborator, and it also supported file versioning and link sharing.

How it works

Users installed the desktop or mobile client, which synced a local folder to Copy's cloud servers so files stayed up to date across devices; shared folders and public links let others access or collaborate on those files. The service was discontinued by Barracuda Networks on May 1, 2016.
