Who it's for

Former Google Reader users and RSS power users who needed a way to keep following blogs and news sites after Google shut down its reader in 2013.

What you get

Digg Reader let users subscribe to RSS feeds and read them in a single stream, with a 'Top Stories' view that surfaced the most-shared items across a user's subscriptions. It supported saving articles for later, marking items read/unread, and keyboard shortcuts for navigation. Digg offered web, iOS, and Android versions.

How it works

Users imported their existing subscriptions (including via Google Reader export files), organized feeds into folders, and read new items in a chronological or algorithmically ranked list. The service shut down in March 2018.
