A platform for turning static design files into clickable, navigable prototypes with hotspots, transitions, and animations. It included Freehand, a collaborative whiteboard for sketching and brainstorming, plus commenting tools for stakeholders to leave feedback directly on designs. Design specs and assets could be shared with developers for handoff. InVision wound down its core design collaboration business and shut down these services at the end of 2024.
Designers uploaded static screens or artboards (often from Sketch, Photoshop, or Studio) and linked them with hotspots to simulate user flow between screens. Teammates and stakeholders then viewed the prototype in a browser or app, adding comments and markups pinned to specific points on the design.
