Who it's for

Kubernetes developers, DevOps engineers, and platform teams who need to manage and troubleshoot clusters without relying solely on kubectl and raw YAML.

What you get

A native desktop app that visualizes clusters, namespaces, workloads, and resources in a unified GUI. It shows real-time pod status, logs, events, and metrics, and includes a built-in terminal for direct kubectl/shell access. You can manage multiple clusters and contexts from one interface instead of switching terminal sessions.

How it works

You install Lens on macOS, Windows, or Linux and add clusters using existing kubeconfig files. Once connected, you browse and edit resources, view logs and metrics, and open an embedded terminal scoped to the selected cluster context.

Why people leave Lens

Dashed reasons are sourced facts; the rest are opinions. Vendors can dispute.
