Photos can be organized into albums, labeled, and marked private or archived, then shared with others through built-in sharing links. It runs entirely under your control, with no ads or data sold to third parties.
You deploy PhotoPrism yourself, typically via Docker Compose, pointing it at a folder of originals. It indexes or imports your files, extracting metadata and running AI recognition in the background, after which you browse, search, and organize the results through its web interface.
