Who it's for

People who wanted to save articles, videos, and web pages encountered anywhere online to read or watch later, across their phone, tablet, and computer.

What you get

A clutter-free reader view that stripped ads and formatting from saved pages, offline access to saved content, and tagging to organize items for later retrieval. It also offered a recommendations feed of curated articles and, on some platforms, text-to-speech listening. Pocket was owned by Mozilla and integrated into Firefox before Mozilla shut the service down in 2025.

How it works

Users saved pages via a browser extension, mobile share-sheet action, or bookmarklet, then tagged and revisited them later in the Pocket app or website, which rendered them in a clean reading view.
