Rancher is an open source Kubernetes management platform that lets teams provision, import, and centrally administer clusters across on-prem infrastructure and hosted providers such as EKS, AKS, and GKE. It adds centralized authentication, RBAC, monitoring, Helm-based application delivery, and GitOps via its built-in Fleet component on top of vanilla Kubernetes. SUSE maintains the open source project and sells an optional paid support subscription called Rancher Prime.
