Who it's for

Software teams and open-source projects who want self-hosted or SaaS Git/Mercurial hosting without trackers, ads, or heavy JavaScript, and who prefer email-based patch review over pull requests.

What you get

Git and Mercurial repository hosting with fine-grained public/private/unlisted access, a CI system (builds.sr.ht) running virtualized builds across Linux and BSD with SSH debug access, a mailing-list-based code review and patch workflow (lists.sr.ht) built on git send-email, plus a minimal issue tracker (todo.sr.ht), wikis, paste hosting, static site hosting, and IRC/chat hosting. Everything is AGPL/BSD-licensed and exportable via the hut CLI.

How it works

You interact with sr.ht largely through email and git command-line workflows rather than a web app: push code, submit patches via git send-email, and discuss them in threaded mailing lists, while the CI system builds and reports on commits automatically. The entire web UI works without JavaScript and most features are usable without an account.
