Who it's for

Platform, API, and DevOps teams that need to expose, secure, and manage REST, GraphQL, gRPC, and TCP APIs -- from startups running the open-source Gateway themselves up to regulated enterprises (banking, government, telecom) needing self-managed or hybrid deployments with formal SLAs.

What you get

An open-source API Gateway (MPL-2.0) with rate limiting, quotas, authentication (OIDC/JWT/OAuth2/Basic/mTLS), request transformation, and a plugin system for custom middleware, plus optional paid layers -- a Developer Portal, Dashboard analytics/GUI, Tyk Operator for Kubernetes-native GitOps, and Tyk Cloud as a fully managed SaaS.

How it works

You deploy Tyk Gateway (binary, Docker, Helm, or via the Tyk Kubernetes Operator) in front of your upstream services and define APIs declaratively via JSON/OAS definitions or Kubernetes manifests; Tyk Sync lets you version-control and GitOps-sync those definitions to a Dashboard/Cloud control plane, which aggregates traffic analytics and manages developer portal access and security policies.
