Who it's for

Travelers who wanted their trip details pulled together automatically, rather than manually organizing flights, hotels, and activities in a separate planning app.

What you get

Trips automatically scanned a user's Gmail for flight, hotel, restaurant, and car rental reservations and organized them into per-trip itineraries. Each trip included day-by-day plans, suggested things to do and see, reservation details, and maps of the destination. Itineraries were available offline, useful for travel without reliable data access.

How it works

The app created a trip automatically once it detected a confirmed reservation in Gmail, then let users add destinations, save places, and view a day-by-day itinerary; it was discontinued in August 2019, with its reservation and itinerary features folded into Google Search, Maps, and Google Travel.
